| What is the difference between keywords and sub-keywords? |
| A (sub)keyword is the first part of the text which customers send to our systems. We use the first word(s) to determine what kind of service should handle the incoming message. A keyword is a 1 word identifier, whereas a subkeyword consists of 2 words.
|
| How long does it take to activate a service? |
| It depends on the type of keyword and the short code. If you are the owner of a short code, all services are activated instantly. Services with subkeywords on one of our shared short codes are also activated instantly. In case you request a main keyword on a shared short code it depends on the country:
In The Netherlands, Belgium and Australia the service will be activated instantly.
In The United Kingdom and Ireland the keyword will have to be applied for and that may take 3 to 14 days.
|
| How long can I use a keyword? |
| Keywords remain valid for as long as the monthly fee is paid. Sub keywords remain valid indefinitely. TargetMedia reserves the right to withdraw keywords when e.g.:
1) The words are generic
2) No sales have been registered for a period of 3 months
3) The keywords have been registered for the purpose of intercepting other customers traffic.
You will of course be notified of this in time!
|
| How many keywords can I register? |
| You can register a maximum of 50 keywords.
|
| What are the costs of keywords and when will the payment take place? |
| The monthly amount of a keyword will be credited to the credit note. After registering a keyword, you have to pay 1.30 via a payline. The remaining 8.70 will be credited to the credit note in the first month.
|
| How many jobs can I create within a service? |
| There is no restriction on the number of jobs per service.
|
| Can I edit jobs afterwards? |
| Of course, as long as the job has not been sent yet.
|
| Why should I select a subaccount/layoutcode? |
| With sub-accounts you can 'split' your account. You can see the sales reports per subaccount.
|
| Why do I have to notify you before a keyword is published in a (news) paper/magazine? |
| Because TargetMedia reserves the right to refuse or withdraw keywords, for example because of private use or if a trade mark right is attached to it. When TargetMedia decides you can not or may not use a keyword in your advert, you will be notified within two working days.
|
| Why can't I change the price of a service? |
| In some cases we can not change the price due to local regulations.
|
| What should I do if I receive an error 'Your servers response is not 45000. Read the documentation or the FAQ for more info.'? |
| TargetSMS checks the URL you have registered/reported. As you can see in the documentation, your script should return the code 45000. If this is not the case, you will get this warning. If we do not get this code in return, we can not send text messages to you.
|
| Can you send extra text along with an SMS message? |
| Yes, this is possible as long as there is a space between the keyword and the rest of the text. If you want to see the text your customers send, the choice of TargetSMS module is important . If you choose one of the following modules, you can see what the customers have sent.
SMSPollVote you can see which messages have been sent via the statistics of PollVote
SMS&WIN you can see which messages have been sent via the statistics of SMS&Win
SMS2Mail you receive all messages via e-mail
SMS2Web you receive all messages on your own server
SMSCallMe you receive all messages via sms and/or email
Premium SMS Gateway you receive all messages on your own server
If you choose any of the other services you can NOT see the messages that have been sent.
|

| About an hour.
|
| How will I know if a message is received by a customer? |
