SMS Access Subscription

1. General
The documentation of Advanced SMS Subscription has been subdivided in subscribe, membership and unsubscribe a subscriber. You will find these below.

2. Subscribe
The subscription procedure:
  1. Your customer subscribes by sending KEYWORD ON to the shortcode.
  2. TargetSMS tells your system there is a new subscription.
  3. Your system sends the customer a message with a question to confirm the subscription by sending KEYWORD OK to the shortcode.
  4. Your customer sends the confirmation asked for to the shortcode.
  5. TargetSMS tells your system the new subscription has been confirmed.
  6. The visitor receives an answer with a pincode to confirm the successful application from TargetMedia. This message has a fixed tariff of 25 eurocents.
  7. The visitor fills in the pincode on your site (see point 5).
  8. You check with us if the payment was successful (see point 6).
  9. After a successful payment you can deliver the chosen service(s) to your new subscriber.

3. During membership
As soon as you create an access subscription service, we will regularly send messages to your subscribers to collect the contribution for your service. You can choose the frequency when you create the service. First they will receive the welcoming message, followed by the so called repeat messages.

4. Unsubscribe
Unsubscribing from a service can be done in 2 ways.

The customer unsubscribes himself/herself.
  1. Your customer unsubscribes by sending KEYWORD OFF to the shortcode.
  2. TargetSMS tells your system that a subscription has been cancelled.
  3. Targetmedia sends a message to the customer to confirm the successful unsubscription.
You will find information on receiving messages on your system in the document: documentation MO messages

Unsubscribing automatically after x times not paying.
  1. If you have chosen to fill in the field auto-unsubscribe while creating your service, we also check if a subscriber has paid and if he or she has exceeded the number of no payments, he/she is unsubscribed automatically. You receive an e-mail when this happens.

5. Show payment screen to visitor

You show the visitor a payment screen with the following information:
  • Keyword (e.g. PINCODE);
  • Shortcode, the 4 digit number, the SMS must be sent to (e.g. 3010);
  • Valuta and price;
In addition to this information you ask the visitor to enter the received pincode on your website and click the 'continue' button.

Example

SMS PINCODE to 3010 (€ 2,85).

You receive an SMS with a pincode. Enter the pincode below and press the 'continue' button.
